Shortening the straps a little will theoretically net you better top speed but will also load the front end making steering heavy, aggressive and unpredictable. Try one hole, crank your center shock up a notch and reduce front shock spring preload. One thing I have to comment on is that somebody says its for the limiting strap. No, the dial adjust is the shock.
